Job Summary
ATG is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (Unix/Linux) to support NSWCDD Code 104. The selected candidate will administer, secure, maintain, and optimize enterprise Unix and Linux server environments supporting mission-critical Department of the Navy systems. The role includes systems administration, patch management, automation, performance tuning, cybersecurity compliance, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, administer, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other Unix/Linux operating systems.
Perform system hardening, STIG implementation, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity while resolving complex system issues.
Manage user accounts, file systems, storage, permissions, and system backups.
Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation to improve system administration processes.
Support RMF, continuous monitoring, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
Coordinate maintenance activities with Government stakeholders and technical teams.
Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and system configuration records.

Qualifications
Required:

Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum seven (7) years of professional systems administration experience, including Unix/Linux environments.
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 5 investigation.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, shell scripting, virtualization, and enterprise server administration.
Knowledge of STIGs, RMF, and NIST security requirements.
U.S. Citizenship.

Desired:

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or RHCE certification.
Experience supporting NAVSEA or Department of the Navy.
Experience with VMware, Ansible, or enterprise automation tools.
