Job Summary  

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide support for technical support to the U.S Navy’s Ashore Enterprise Services (AES) network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing communications across shore-based environments. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, trouble shooting, and maintaining IT assets, while supporting system availability compliance, and operational readiness.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Track and monitor assets and inventory across the Ashore Enterprise Services (AES) Community. Complete inventory and asset updates frequently to ensure accurate tracking of equipment after squadron missions or activities.  

  • Submit MAC requests  

  • Initiate/validate eKM service order requests  

  • Support Tier 1 type help desk tickets including break/fix and connection type issues.   

  • Work with squadron ITPOC personnel to identify, resolve, and elevate any NMCI and follow-on systems and networks/ONE-NET or procurement issues  

  • Lead gathering of information in response to DON/CPF/CNAP/TYPEWING data calls  

  • Assist with procurement of required hardware (toner, monitors, etc.) for squadrons, coordinate NMCI and follow-on systems and networks/ONE-NET surge projects like hardware/software tech refreshes.  

  • Aid the deployment process, and support TYPE WING unique projects (MILCON projects, new squadron start-ups, air-frame upgrades, new Program of Record system deliveries).  

  • Responsible for reporting on asset management racking and ticket completions during Government and Contractor led meetings. 

Required: 

  • Must be a US Citizen 

  • Active Secret clearance 

  • Five (5) years of experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or an equivalent bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university 

  • IAT Level II Certification 

Desired:    

  • IT Asset Management Experience  

  • Basic IT asset inoperability and connectivity degradation troubleshooting methods  

  • Customer Service as well as written oral communications skills including experience participating in meetings containing Government and contractor personnel.  

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
