Job Summary
We are seeking a Web and Digital Interface Designer III  to support the MCCOG program The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-centered web and digital interfaces that support mission-critical systems. This role includes ensuring usability, accessibility, and compliance with DoD and Navy standards while collaborating with developers, engineers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Design and develop user-friendly web and digital interfaces for mission systems.
  • Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility (Section 508), and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to implement front-end solutions.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to support system design.
  • Maintain consistency with branding and user experience standards.
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate user feedback into designs.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy web standards and policies.
  • Support integration of web interfaces with backend systems.
  • Maintain documentation for design standards and interface specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance on UI/UX best practices.
  • Develop, modify, and/or test layouts, interfaces, functionality, and navigation menus to ensure compatibility and usability across browsers or devices
  • Use web framework applications as well as the Government’s code and processes
  • Evaluate web design following web and accessibility standards, and may analyze web use metrics and optimize websites for marketability and search engine ranking
  • Design, modify, and/or test interfaces that facilitate the human-computer interaction and maximize the usability of digital devices, websites, and software with a focus on aesthetics and design
  • Create and/or modify graphics used in websites
  • Manage website content and links

Qualifications
Required
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Master’s Degree
  • 10 Years of professional experience designing digital user interfaces or websites
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of web and digital interface design experience
  • Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or similar)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508)

Desired
 
  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy environments
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity considerations in web design
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
