Job Summary
Systems Administrator III (SA3) is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure in support of mission-critical operations. This role provides advanced technical expertise in system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across a variety of platforms and environments. The SA3 ensures system reliability, security compliance, and operational efficiency in alignment with program requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, and associated infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and security of IT systems
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across hardware, software, and network components
• Support implementation and maintenance of security controls in accordance with DoD and RMF requirements
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration baselines
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and team members
• Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, and network teams to support integrated solutions

Qualifications
Required    

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant systems administration experience
• Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred depending on contract)
• Strong experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise infrastructure services
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and DoD RMF framework
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CASP+, MCSE, RHCE)
• Experience supporting DoD or federal environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash
