Job Summary We are seeking a Military Operations Analyst - Senior to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the team in various capacities. You will play a key part in ATG’s support of various SATCOM (MILSATCOM) Systems including international agreements and partnerships. Our team will provide direct support to integration, implementation and operations of current and emerging capabilities to meet requirements. Key Responsibilities
Analyze, evaluate and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges.
Provide technical services to the WB C-SSE utilizing previous knowledge and experience with various communication agreements between US and International Partners
Act as consultant, advisor and member of various DoD, Joint and technical planning and work groups
Support SATCOM IPT and International partners through transition management support of WSOMS including mission planning
Support transmissions management of various functional areas
Develop and coordinate policy and plans for programs
Support various planning and working groups
Support solution recommendations to future communications and automation operational challenges
Provide Terminal and Modem performance certification support and services to WB C-SSE, WGS, GBS and DSCS SSEs
Utilize engineering concepts, engineering based tools, knowledge and most-current version of NATO STANAG and terminal and modem performance certification documents to evaluate terminal performance certification reports.
Generate engineering-based assessments for terminal performance reports and determine compliance against certification documentation and criteria
Provide guidance and recommendations to government and vendors to modify system designs and configurations when necessary.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend changes to current performances
Provide support for tests and evaluations of satellite performance and review test procedures and processes.
Support evaluation of new SATCOM technologies and recommend changes to current standards
Support generation of engineering-based assessments for performance of terminals and track against standards
Support monitoring and tracking of terminal performance certification reports throughout all phases of performance certification processes
Support assessments of terminals and modems
Provide support to Terminal and Modem Operations and Planning Support Services
Utilizing Wideband Satellite Communications Operational Management System (WSOMS) knowledge and experience, provide mission planning to Wideband SATCOM missions.
Interpret terminal and modem performance, characteristics and functionality to create and build accurate performance models
Utilize knowledge and experience to conduct detailed analysis of trending satellite, modem and terminal resources.
Provide SATCOM planning, technical support services and analytical help to integrated project team (IPT) supporting International partners
Responsible for providing support for activities required in the effective implementation, management and direction of the USA responsibilities as identified in the applicable MOU
Act as direct liaison between U.S. Military Departments, Joint Staff, and other Agencies with applicable MOU Country staff and the users of SATCOM systems as directed to provide necessary support to the OPM responsibilities.
Assist the OPM in the management of users of SATCOM systems DoD resources, which are defined in accordance with Annex A (Resource Allocation and Sharing Provisions) of the applicable MOUs
Qualifications Required:
Security Clearance Level: Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access.
Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience, with Five (5) years in direct SATCOM support
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
Experience in DoD or Government SATCOM environment specializing in partner environments
Physical and Environmental Conditions
Work to be preformed out of Colorado Springs, CO supporting various missions across the area of responsibility.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time in office-setting
Salary & Benefits
Salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000.00/year; however several factors are considered within extending an offer, including but not limited to candidate’s education, year’s experience, training and/or certifications and critical skills.
