Job Summary
 Work is at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, supporting the International Partner Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Support Center (IPASC). This position will provide technical planning and engineering support for operations and sustainment to the International Partners of AEHF. Provides expert-level MILSATCOM systems engineering advisory assistance. This position will include duties as the lead training instructor and requires the ability to develop training courses, applicable student handbooks and materials. Must understand a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Will support the development of long-range planning and the writing of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures. Provides extensive support to studies and analysis of air, surface, and space missions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Planning & Engineering Support:
  • Support operations and sustainment for all AEHF International Partners
  • Offer expert level advisory assistance in MILSATCOM systems engineering

2. Training & Instruction:
  • Serve as the lead training instructor
  • Develop training courses, student handbooks, and instructional materials

3. Systems Engineering & Strategic Development:
  • Supporting long-range planning initiatives
  • Assist in writing and developing Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)

4. Project & Team Leadership:
  • Lead and direct the work of others
  • Handle complex aspects of various projects
  • Relying on professional experience and judgment for goal setting and execution
  • Contribute studies and analysis concerning air, surface, and space missions

5. Expectations and Work Style:
  • Maintain an understanding of concepts, practices, & procedures within
  • Exhibit creativity and flexibility in approach to duties
  • Perform a variety of tasks across projects and domains

Required Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering field
  • 10+ years’ experience working in the MILSATCOM environment
  • Experience as a training instructor and developing training curriculum
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Experience:
  • Extensive experience as a training instructor and developing training curriculum
  • Experience in protected MILSATCOM planning, operations, and operations support
  • 15+ years’ experience working in the MILSATCOM environment
  • Program Management Professional (PMP)
  • Expert with Microsoft applications – Office, Outlook, etc.
