Job Summary
Support the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-6 SAP CIO efforts concerning translating high-level business requirements to enterprise security initiatives and programs that must be implemented to achieve the organization’s mission, goals and objectives for CIO/G-6’s distributed enterprise network environment.
Key Responsibilities
The SI CISO team member must coordinate with the Technical and Business Information CISO functions to ensure appropriate progress and traction.
The SI CISO team member is responsible for metrics, dashboards and executive reports and assessments on the State-of-Security (SOS) within the enterprise.
The SI CISO team member reports to the Army (HQDA) G-6 SAP CIO.
The SI CISO team member will represent the Army (HQDA) G-6 SAP CIO externally, e.g., with DoD SAP stakeholders and Army Cybersecurity agencies.
The SI CISO team member will assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies to protect critical data.
The SI CISO team member will assist in the development and implementation of secure processes and systems used to prevent, detect, mitigate, and recover from cyberattacks.
The SI CISO team member will assist in the education and management of enterprise risk in collaboration with stakeholders to include facilitating risk assessment and risk management processes.
The SI CISO team member will build and drive a cybersecurity strategy and framework, with initiatives to secure the organization's cyber and technology assets.
The SI CISO team member will assist in the development, justification, and evaluation of cybersecurity investments.
The SI CISO team member will assist in the development and implementation of ongoing security awareness training and education for users.
Qualifications:
Required:
Requires US Citizenship
Required Security Clearance: TS with SCI
Years Experience: Experience with IT and Cybersecurity
Education: BA/BS or equivalent and minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
Possesses at a minimum one of the following certifications, corresponding to an approved DOD 8570 AIT level II certification
CCNA Security
CySA+
GICSP
GSEC
Security+ CE
SSCP
CND
Experience gathering strategic customer requirements
Familiarity with the RMF and DoD compliance processes
Ability to work independently
Able to create detailed documentation and visual representations of data
Ability to research and learn from vendor and developer documentation and apply concepts to other efforts
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with senior customers to field and troubleshooting questions and issues
Possesses at a minimum an approved DOD 8570 AIT level II certification
Ability to plan, and collaborate with the Army senior executive staff, to ensure all of their strategic IT requirements are fully met
Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
Experience in establishing cybersecurity and risk metrics for reporting, with a roadmap of security issues (Critical, Medium, and Low) to include mitigation plans
Experience ensuring appropriate governance procedures are in place, communicated and proactively managed
Desired:
Knowledge of DA policy and planning efforts, IT enterprise goals and objectives, and other required functions
Knowledge of SAP Operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) with respect to security administration and information technology governance in a multi-platform environment
Knowledge of SAP Information security controls and audit management
Physical and Environmental Conditions
Work to be performed out of Fort Belvoir, VA supporting various missions across the area of responsibility.
