Cyber Workforce Qualification and Training Support Specialist Senior We are hiring for a Cyber Workforce Qualification and Training Support Specialist Senior for our Cyber Workforce Qualification and Training Support team in support of the Army G6. The ideal candidate will have a cybersecurity background with extensive experience in managing, assessing, and briefing/reporting workforce training data in a DoD environment.
Responsibilities:
Tracks workforce training metrics and develops reports as requested. Assesses the impact of training programs and other pertinent diagnostics.
Identifies skill or knowledge gaps among the organizations employee population and recommends training content in response to identified training needs.
Completes taskers on schedule and as per government request.
Attends meetings to represent Army position on solutions and write executive summaries and information papers, as required, after attendance at meetings (weekly).
Writes procedural documents, high-level white papers and weekly activity reports (WARs).
Works with relational databases to track and report workforce and training progress within the Army.
Uses DoD 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Management as a basis for all mission related work and demonstrates a thorough understanding of DoD and Army Cyber Workforce policies and policy and contribute to writing appropriate Department of the Army Pamphlets and updating Workforce Qualification and Training policy requirements in Army regulations.
Provides subject matter expertise on Workforce Qualification requirements, Database updates/upgrades, articulating workforce qualification requirements to the Army Community via phone, Teams, or in-person.
Works with other vendors, institutions, or agencies – Government, DoD, USA, Industry, Academia, or Foreign Government to identify and facilitate the right training that aligns with the DoD Workforce Framework work roles.
Attends meetings to participate in special and scheduled conferences; provides information, ideas, and opinions that relate to Cyber and Signal training.
Provides input to and when required conduct briefings to Army personnel on the procedures and methods to comply with Cybersecurity education, training, certification, and the awareness program.
Documents cyber qualification requirements to facilitate the submission or Army annual reports to the Department of Defense and the Office of Management and Budget for FISMA.
Assists in conducting the Army Protection Program requirements IAW AR 525-2.
Provides support in the development of a resource strategy and associated Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution document with HQDA DCS G‐6 Support Operations Officer in the areas of plans, budget, and analytical services to ensure that critical Army Workforce Qualification and Training (Cyber and Signal) needs are resourced.
Required to periodically conduct a cybersecurity audit, identifying systemic security issues and violations in support of DA G-3-5-7 Army Protection Program Assessment
Produces artifacts and deliverables as requested by government.
Qualifications:
Applicant must possess an active Secret.
DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
Requires BA and 10-12 years; or 6+ year and a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Database familiarization and fluency required
Experience accessing course curriculum and metrics
Expertise in workforce management and associated governing regulations
Understanding of training tools and delivery mechanisms
Understanding of Cyber Security methods, applications, and policies, IT Systems and Technologies, Analytical and Strategic,
Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST and cybersecurity regulations
Military/DoD experience/ familiarization
Ability to formulate groups to promote courses of actions to support mission tasks
Understanding IT Systems and Technologies
Analytical, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to executive-level stakeholders. Ability to write at a high-level and brief to senior leadership.
Experience with project management concepts – documentation, requirements, deliverables
Performs work independently. Considered a high-level specialist who regularly interacts and works with senior management.
Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete work.
Travel approximately 5-10% for assistance visits; perform cybersecurity assessments
